Preparing for Mia's first birthday

In an effort to get back on track with losing weight, I logged into to find some ideas for my grocery list. I had seen an episode of 30 minute meals last week that led me to look into a very high cal and high fat florentine macaroni and cheese so I stumbled onto to check out what ingredients I need to make it for Mia's party. I am definetly going to make a version of that without ground chicken meatballs. Either way, this led me to an avocado goat cheese dip that is definetly going to hit the table for the party.

It uses:
3 ripe avocados, diced
2 cloves minced garlic
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp salt
3 Tbsp lime juice
4 oz cream cheese
4 oz goat cheese

Blend it in the food processor and serve with warm pita chips. I believe I will be serving it with slices of baguette instead... we will see. It's definetly not low cal like I was looking for, but I don't need my guests to eat healthily anyway.

Til next time,

Trying my hand at this

Upon making a new friend yesterday, I am truly inspired. So, it's time to act on my good intentions and try my hand at a few things... one of them is starting a blog. So here is the important thing I have to say today: is having an awesome sale at the moment in honor of National Scrapbooking Day having just past. Promo codes =

SBDAY20 for an extra 20% off your entire order!
SBDAY10 for 10% off your order plus SBDAYSHIP for free US48 shipping on orders of $100+

Also, if you are looking for Cricut products, as I have been most of this week, has the best prices on cutting mats. It's only $5.54 for a 2 pack of 6 x 12 and yes, you could pay to have them shipped right to your door but you could alternatively go with the site to store option (FREE SHIPPING) and then you would have to grab them on your next trip to WOWmart. You can always pick them up in-store, which is what I did last night for $8.00 per pack because I needed a new mat for today.

Looking forward to my dedicated few hours of scrapbooking later to day with my bestest :) but for now it's back to playing with my Mia Grace!
